Keck’s Exclusives: Castle Duo Hits the Sheets – TV Guide
With Castle and Beckett’s unconsummated tease expected to stretch out for several seasons, the ABC series is giving fans the next best thing. In the January 10 episode, it will be revealed that Detective Javier Esposito (Jon Huertas) and medical examiner Lanie Parish (Tamala Jones) have been secretly getting in on for some time!
“We find out it’s been going on for about eight weeks, so it’s still a new thing,” reveals Jon, who had been campaigning hard for the storyline. “Of course we try to hide it from the gang to keep things professional, but it’s hard for us to control ourselves.”

Romantic Moment Coming For Detective & Writer On ‘Castle’ – Access Hollywood
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A stakeout leads to a smooch on ABC’s crime drama “Castle,” with Rick Castle and Kate Beckett finally sharing their first kiss.
Played by series stars Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, the pair locked lips in a scene filmed outside a downtown warehouse late Thursday for a January episode.
As “Castle” fans know, the show’s weekly whodunits share equal weight with the will-they-or-won’t-they romance conundrum for the lead characters.

Fictional mystery writer in ‘Castle’ creates another real bestseller with ‘Naked Heat’ – LA Times
ABC’s quirky crime drama “Castle” has churned out two bestsellers: “Heat Wave” (16 weeks on New York Times list), and its sequel, “Naked Heat” (No. 19 on Los Angeles Times list), which were used in key storylines. Carolyn Kellogg examines this publishing phenomena in Friday’s Calendar section.
Publishing the books was a natural progression as “Castle’s” premise began with a serial killer imitating the plots of the show’s star, famous mystery writer Richard Castle’s books. The charming, wise-cracking novelist (played with panache by Nathan Fillion) and the tough, sexy, NYPD Det. Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), whom he accompanies to crimes scenes to assist in solving cases, exchange innuendo-filled banter reminiscent of David and Maddie in “Moonlighting”.

‘Castle’ Investigates Laura Prepon & Thomas Calabro for Guest Roles – Screen Rant
TV Guide reports that Laura Prepon, best known for her role as Donna in That 70s Show, will play an actress hired for the movie role of Nikki Heat, Beckett’s literary counterpart. In addition, Prepon’s actress-character, Natalie Gray, will tail Castle and Beckett for inspiration of her own.
So, Prepon is a real actress, playing a fictional actress, playing a fictional role, based on a fictional novel, based on a ‘real’ fictional cop. Except that the books Castle writes aren’t entirely fictitious (even if they are fictional), ABC has hired ghost writers and published the books that Fillion’s character writes – which you can buy in a real bookstore.By contrast, the news about Melrose Place veteran Thomas Calabro is pretty straightforward. Calabro will a murder suspect in an investigation surrounding a matchmaker for high-class Manhattanites.
Both Calabro and Prepon have played relatively minor roles since their breakouts. Prepon had a lead role ABC’s short-lived October Road and Calabro reprised his role of Dr. Mancini in CW’s revival of Melrose – which fizzled out after just nine episodes earlier this year.

Why Is Castle’s Leading Lady Calling Gilles Marini’s Guest Spot “a Waste?” – E Online
“[Gilles] was not shirtless,” Stana lamented to us at last night’s American Music Awards. “And I was like, ‘What is this? Is this a waste or what? How can we all be sitting here and not enjoying that?’ It was too much. He is so stunning and sweet…He’s lovely. Really delicious.”
Delicious and apparently totally cool with taking a few possibly life-threatening risks—all in the name of (homage to Gob Bluth) “illuuuusion.” Gilles plays Tobias Strange, a world-famous magician and suspect in the murder of a magic-shop owner.

AMA 2010 Red Carpet Interview with Stana Katic – Awards Show Network
Dish Of Salt: First Look: ‘Castle’s’ Beckett Finally Meets Her Match – Nikki Heat! – Access Hollywood
Unfortunately, fans looking to see a splice of the movie version of Castle’s book, “Heat Wave,” in which actress Natalie has been cast, may have to wait. Laura told me we will only see the audition tape her character submits to land the role in her upcoming episode. Now while Laura’s character is a blonde, her audition tape does have her sporting a brunette Beckett-type wig.
Taking a page from Castle, Natalie decides to follow her doppelganger Beckett on a few cases to help get into character. She arrives to the crime scene in full stereotypical actress diva mode — perfect hair, perfect makeup, perfect outfit — but soon finds herself dressing down to make herself more Beckett-like.
Stana tells me at first, Beckett is all for the idea of this actress following her every move. That is, until she becomes all “single white female,” as Stana explained.
